Other Organizations

NC 4-H – 4-H is the largest youth organization in the United States.  Each county has a 4-H agent that develops a program fitting the needs of their county. Many offer school enrichment, clubs and summer activities, all using approved curriculum.  Find more information on the program including links to curriculum and other resources.

NC FFA – NC FFA is the student leadership organization for agriculture education students in middle and high school.

NC Family, Consumer and Community Leaders of America– NCFCCLA is the leadership organization for students enrolled in middle and high school family and consumer science classes.

Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project – Growing Minds Farm to School program – Based in Asheville, ASAP supports the local food movement. This site has information on local food in schools, farm field trips, local food cooking, school gardens and special projects related to farm to school.

Farm to School Coalition of NC – The Farm to School Coalition of North Carolina (F2SCNC) brings together a dedicated group of farm to school (F2S) stakeholders that will collaborate to expand and strengthen farm to school initiatives across the state.

National Farm to School Network -The National Farm to School Network is an information, advocacy and networking hub for communities working to bring local food sourcing and food and agriculture education into school systems and early care and education environments.
