The NC Farm to School calendar features artwork created by winners of the NC Farm to School art contest. Each day there is a fact about NC agriculture. These can be incorporated into school lessons so that when students are asked where food comes from, they can answer “From a NC farm.”

This project is supported by the NC Grange, which allows us to make calendars available to schools free of charge. Founded in 1873, the North Carolina Grange is a nonprofit, grassroots organization dedicated to strengthening agriculture and rural communities across the state.  Through education, youth development, community service, and nonpartisan advocacy, the NC Grange works to improve the quality of life for rural North Carolinians.  Building on its strong foundation, the Grange continues to support both traditional and modern agriculture while advocating for the rural communities that sustain North Carolina’s agricultural industry.
