2006 Promotions Winners
The NC Farm to School Program is pleased to announce the winners of the 2006 Farm to School promotions. These promotions were sponsored by the NC Commodity Associations and NC farmers that were associated with the fresh produce delivered to schools that participated in the NC Farm to School Program.

The 2006 strawberry Farm to School season was record breaking. This year the number of flats ordered by the participating school systems totaled 12,370 a 9% increase from the 2005 season’s order of 11,105. The proceeds from the contest were to be used for the benefit of the nutrition program or the individual cafeteria.
